About NHAS Web Site:
Website design is by Patrick Coin. Current updates are being done by David Curtin. New Hope Audubon resources have been on the web at one site or another since September, 1994. This was years before National Audubon Society had a web site! A chronology of the NHAS site:
  • 1994-95: Jack Siler helped Patrick Coin (PC) put NHAS newsletters on-line, initially on a Gopher site, and later as html files.
  • 1995-96: PC ran an NHAS website as part of his personal website.
  • 1996-2001: The site was hosted on RTPnet, a community web resource for the Research Triangle.
  • 2001-present: NHAS obtained its own domain name (www.newhopeaudubon.org) and started hosting with Envirolink.
This site was designed initially on an Apple Macintosh system using BBEdit Lite and Adobe Photoshop. Basic layout inspired by Zen Sutherland's site for Elisha Mitchell Audubon, but this site is by no means as sophisticated!

All art work and photography on this site is either in the public domain or reproduced with the permission of the copyright owner.
