Wildlife Observation Site, Jordan Lake

In a joint effort with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission and the Army Corps of Engineers and NHAS, the Eagle Platform construction was completed August 1, 1987. NHAS received a "Take Pride in America" recognition for this work. Currently, NHAS works cooperatively to maintain the trail and platform. Directions: The Indian Creek Wildlife Observation Site is located off NC 751 approximately one mile south of the 751 causeway. From I-40, take NC 751 (Exit 274) south for approximately seven miles, and take a right. From US 64, travel approximately five miles north, and take a left. The entrance is a small gravel road opposite a convenience store, and is marked by a brown "Wildlife Observation" sign. To download the Trail Guide, click here.
